Peita Diamantidis is a new form of ‘geek’ hybrid – maths and finance nerdiness combined with a passion for communicating that has her on a mission to empower the public to take charge of their finances.

With 20 years in the financial services industry, and the last 10 spent as a practising financial adviser, Peita’s focus on communication culminated in the release of her first book, Finance Action Hero, Book 1: Basic Training, in May 2014, with the follow up, Finance Action Hero, Part 2: Mission Possible, released in 2015.

Utilising a background in Actuarial Studies, Peita has also developed a keen interest in the science of Applied Innovation. The combination of her passion for communicating and her interest in applied innovation have led her on a never ending journey to find ideas, widgets and new-fangled ways of bringing the financial advice industry and the Australian public closer together.

Before joining the financial planning industry 20 years ago, Hans Egger gained valuable experience as a Management Consultant with Price Waterhouse Urwick and as National Marketing Manager for Australian Associated Press (AAP) in its Information Services and Financial Services departments.

Hans became a financial planner in 1998, starting his own practice in 2001. He built the practice into a successful business based in North Sydney, in May 2015 Hans sold the business to focus on the Astute business, He is still involved in the financial business and still sees some clients.

Hans holds a Bachelor of Business (Marketing), the Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance, the Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and Certificate IV in Mortgage Lending. He is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and is a current member of the FPA, AFA and FINSIA. Hans is also currently studying the Doctorate of Business Administration.

Stan Gallo is a former deep cover police operative who has lived numerous lives, including as a narcotics trafficker, arms dealer and cyber-criminal. Having experienced these lives, Stan has a unique perspective on all manner of nefarious activities – he has lived these risks. A risk management specialist, Stan combines his unique insights with traditional investigative skills and forensic technology expertise to assist clients with fraud, financial crime, misconduct, and associated risk issues across all economic sectors.

Stan has also authored a number of technology-related articles in a range of publications and has been involved in numerous media appearances, publications and presentations both in Australia and internationally. As the national leader of KPMG’s Forensic Technology team, Stan provides advice and insights to organisations looking to minimise cyber risk and assists them in responding to incidents when they do occur.

Matt Heine commenced with Netwealth Investments Limited in January 2000 and has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the business strategy, distribution and marketing of the Netwealth group since that time. As Joint Managing Director he is involved in overseeing all business activity at a board and executive level for Netwealth Group Limited and its subsidiaries which include Bridgeport Financial Services Pty Limited and Pathway Licensee Services Pty Limited. Matt was appointed as Joint Managing Director in 2014. Matt is an Investment Guardian on the popular TV show “The Investment Series”, holds a Diploma of Financial Services, an Advanced Diploma of Management and sits on the Financial Services Council – Superannuation Board Committee.Matt is a member of the Netwealth Advice Group Investment Committee.

Michael Heine has extensive experience in Australian and European financial markets, including commodity trading, international financing, mortgage lending and property development through the privately owned Heine Brothers Organisation. His involvement in public unit trusts commenced in 1982 when Heine Investment Management Limited was established. Heine Investment Management was acquired by ING in 1999 for more than $115 million when it had almost $3 billion funds under management. Michael then proceeded to establish Netwealth Investments Limited of which he is the Joint Managing Director.

Michael is a member of Netwealth’s Group Nomination Committee and Investment Committees.

one of Australia’s largest licensees. During the last four years, Steve has founded two
businesses, SHMarketing&Design and Feedsy.
Steve is passionate about the financial services industry and adding value to financial
planning businesses, he prides himself on providing tangible solutions that make a
difference.
Steve is married and enjoys playing tennis, camping, water-skiing, listening to music and
watching his two children play sport in the Adelaide Hills community.

One of Steve’s biggest challenges was walking the Kokoda trail in 2007.

Gavin started his journey with a Bachelor of Graphic Design and immediately formed a boutique design studio in the eye of a recession in 1992. He soon developed a passion for collaboration to help clients benefit from cutting edge marketing. This lead to forming alliances with other agencies – culminating with the merging of his brand agency DO-DA with SA’s leading digital agency, Fusion.

After 6 years as a director at Fusion, Gavin left to pursue alternative business models. At this time he enjoyed 3 years establishing FULLER Brand Communications as SA’s leading content marketing agency – bringing together story telling, design and technology.

In 2012, over a chance conversation with Steve Holmes, an opportunity was identified to develop a low cost content marketing model for small business – and Feedsy was born.
